“Breakfast at the Grass” / “Doručak na travi”

“Breakfast on the Grass” represents an expanded conversational-workshop format of collective empowerment, sharing thoughts and voices, and drawing with visitors. We discuss the working position of women in today’s society and in the future in the courtyard of MMSU with three visual artists: Nadija Mustapić, Nika Rukavina, and Matea Šabić Sabljić. Nika, Nadija, and Matea explore professions traditionally considered male, which we find both in history and everyday life. We talk about the joy of work and the challenges of overcoming prejudices when performing traditionally male tasks. We listen to the voices of female artisans and the sound of their hands, and ask ourselves how such stories are translated into visual artworks?
