Turning Point
Between Brush and Code
The Paradox of Knowledge and Intuition in Educating the Artists of the Future

Today, whether in formal or informal education, when it comes to art education and training art educators to work with the artists of the future, it is no longer possible to avoid the topic of AI use in educational or artistic processes. The tension and dialogue between technology and creative impulse suggest a shift in perception, ethics, and pedagogy. Learning alongside an algorithm demands a new critical approach to artistic research. Is this co-authorship with the algorithm?
How does the Academy face the challenges of using this tool in teaching or independent student work? How do we bridge the gap in art education between two paradigmatic approaches — the one mediated by digital technology and the classical canonical approach? What new qualities are needed in students and teachers for the ethical use of AI in artistic work? These and similar topics will be discussed at the roundtable entitled “Between Brush and Code: The Paradox of Knowledge and Intuition in Educating the Artists of the Future.”
