“5 to 12” marks the moment immediately before the end. It is the point at which nothing can be postponed any longer. The performances take place in a state of urgency—not as a planned act, but as a necessity. 5 to 12 allows no space for preparation or safety. Everything that exists now, in the body and in space, must be used. Mistakes are inevitable, but passivity is not an option. Decisions are made on the move, without guarantees and without return. Performances within the 5 to 12 concept are not commentary, but reaction. They do not deal with things and situations that might be, but with those that can still become—at the very last moment.
